Default G15 is ok, how about Razer

Hey all, its been a while since I played GW and am recently getting back in groove with it. For Christmas I got a Razer Tarantula gaming keyboard, and it has 10 total macro keys (5 on the elft, 5 on the right). I just saw that Anet declared the G15 macros to be fine, but would the same be for the Tarantula?

TIA

I would think so, besides how would they ever find out you are using macros?

I doubt there is a real difference between the G15 and the Tarantula way of handling the macro keys.
Running macro's, as long as you don't produce bot-like behaviour, would not give you a huge advantage over other players.
There are too many factors that complicate using macros.

Besides that, hardware is always a difficult issue.
Would it be fair to disallow my G5 mouse because it has higher dpi and more buttons than the average mouse?
While not that much in Guild Wars, such a mouse does give the experienced gamer an advantage in other online games (FPS for example).

Devices like the G5 mouse or G15/Tarantula keyboard don't give an advantage that would make a bad player decent or a decent player good.
It could make the difference when two players on the same high level oppose and one uses regular equipment and the other the G5/G15.

That's about it, if you use macros make sure they can't be identified as bot-behaviour and you should be fine.

Hey the Razer Tarantula keyboard rocks. I have used it for about a year now. The macro keys really come in handy. I've never had any problem with Anet or anything and I use macros but then I'm not using them to psuedo bot...

I have the razor as well. Love you use it and the macros are quite helpful.

Only issue I am having with it is that sometimes it doesn't power up when I start my computer. I get a keyboard error and have to switch USB ports for it to power up. Kind of wierd

I also have a diamond back mouse and the extra buttons are great.

For Example: One Macro-Key is bound to "[CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[SPACE]" to call a target for my heroes. Another Macro Key is bound to "[C]+[SPACE]" to attack my nearest target. Yes, I am the lazy type of guy
